Grace

So, I don't think I posted this when it happened, but we took Gracie to the doctor for a checkup about a month ago and she is doing really well. She is finally on the charts, well for 2 out of 3 anyway. She weighed 13 and 1/2 lbs, which is still pretty small, but good enough. And was into the 2 percentile for head circumference and height. She has also been speedily learning new tricks over the last month. After what seemed like an eternity of infanthood and little or no progression, she has suddenly decided she wants to do everything! She is crawling like a maniac, sitting pretty well, though she still falls over sometimes, and pulls herself up to stand on everything she can get near. We are so proud of her and how well she has been doing. She also got a hold of a piece of chocolate orange yesterday that sis had dropped on the floor. After a minute or two (we were watching a movie) we thought, "Grace is sure quiet, what is she playing with?" and found her covered in chocolate and sooooo happy! Oops. What a cutie.

Kate's Dance Recital

Kate had two dance recitals this week. One at a senior center. She did an awesome job and even did some of the dance before making up her own moves. Then she had a real recital at the junior high on a real stage. She was so cute!!!! She was even doing the right dance and everything, and then her scrunchy fell out and she kept trying to put it back in. But she did a great job and I am so proud of her! Her are some pictures of her and her friends.

Happy Birthday Kate!

I can't believe my little girl is three! She is the most amazing little person I know, and we are so grateful to have her in our lives! I don't think I've ever loved anything so much in my life as I love being a wife and mommy!

The next day we took her to Chuck E. Cheese for a special birthday lunch and also to celebrate her finally being potty-trained. She didn't want to pose for the pictures, though.

Catching up

Bear with me, this is a long one! So much to catch up on!

Dance Performance

Carving Pumpkins

Trunk or Treating
Kate was excited for every chance she got to wear her witch costume. It was so much fun for her and so fun for us to see her get so excited. The night before Halloween we went to the ward trunk-or-treat. I thought it was pretty fun, but Kate looked like she was about to fall asleep the whole time. Turns out she was getting sick.

Dinosaur Park
Halloween Day we went to the Dinosaur Park in Ogden. Kate has been really into dinos lately and we had so much fun!

Some cute pics

Halloween night
Kate was really excited to get dressed up and see her cousins. We managed to get a few pictures and then they left. Then Kate went from tired to downright miserable and we realized she was sick, so we skipped trick-or-treating and went home. Luckily she was more excited about being a witch than about getting candy, so she didn't really mind.
the cousins (tiger, Ghost Rider, Dorothy, GI Joe guy whose name I can't remember, dragon, and witch)

We tried to get a good one of Grace and Addison, but neither wanted to sit still.
What a couple of cuties, though, right? Dorothy and a pony
